What material do you use for aquarium accessories?
Our aquarium accessories are printed in PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol). A material name alone is not a guarantee of safety for every tank: the finished product, filament additives, coatings and condition matter too. Check the product's intended use and care guidance. Our PLA toys and desk fidgets are not for aquarium use.
Materials and care guidanceWhat is the difference between your PETG and PLA products?
We use PETG for our aquarium range and PLA (Polylactic Acid) for toys and desk fidgets. PLA gives our desk products vibrant colours and fine detail, but these products belong above the waterline — not in an aquarium. Don't assume a reef-themed toy is an aquarium ornament; check its intended use before ordering.
How long does production and shipping take, and what does it cost?
All Reef Ahoy products are printed to order. Production typically takes 1–5 business days before dispatch, depending on order complexity and queue size. Estimated delivery after dispatch is generally 2–5 business days for Australian metro areas and 5–10 business days for regional areas. These estimates are not guaranteed and are separate from production time. Standard shipping is A$15, or free on orders of A$150 or more. You will receive tracking information once your order ships.
Do you ship outside Australia?
Online checkout currently ships within Australia only. Products are printed in Brisbane and Northern NSW and dispatched from Australia. If you need an international quote, contact us so we can review the order and shipping options; international shipping is not available through online checkout.

Available colours vary by product and are shown on each product page. Because we print to order, we can often accommodate specific colour requests — reach out via our contact page and we'll do our best to help.
Can I request a custom design?
Absolutely! If you have an idea for a reef accessory — a particular frag holder size, a feeding tool shaped for your tank, or something entirely new — get in touch. We design and prototype in-house and can discuss feasibility and timing before you order.

Follow the care guidance for your particular product. Inspect aquarium accessories regularly, including any magnet coating, and stop using them if you see cracks, damage or corrosion. PLA toys and desk fidgets are for dry, out-of-tank use. If you're unsure about a cleaning method or product condition, contact us before using it.
Read materials and care guidanceHow are your aquarium magnets protected?
Our aquarium magnets are sealed in clear epoxy so you can inspect the coating. The coating is intended to separate the magnet from water, but damage can compromise it. Check regularly for cracks, chips or corrosion and stop using the accessory if you find any. Check the individual product's glass-thickness guidance rather than assuming one magnet suits every tank.
What is your returns and refunds policy?
Because our products are custom 3D-printed to order, we generally do not accept change-of-mind returns. If we agree to a change-of-mind return as a courtesy, the item must be unused and in original condition, return shipping is at the customer's expense, and no restocking fee is charged. For damaged or defective items, contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos; we provide a prepaid return label and arrange a replacement or full refund. We also cover return shipping for incorrectly supplied items. The 30-day request window and unused-condition requirements do not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
